You can type mathematical symbols into emacs using the TeX input method.

C-\
TeX <enter>
\ohm
\therefore
\pi

C-\ will toggle the input method on and off. Note the \ indicator in the bottom left of the status bar.

  1. I am didn’t understood anything. Is it an add-on? Because in the vanilla Emacs the C- bound to “toggle-input-method”, and this have nothing to do with TeX, it is just changes keyboard layout(personally on my PC to the Russian one).
And where shall I enter the “TeX”, and another things written in the post?
